About Dizzy Dave

Beginning his career at a young age, dave enjoyed music with a passion. Starting a DJ business is not an easy task using his parent's old home stereo equipment and cassette tapes, dave managed to mix music and figure out the basics of beat counting crossfading. 

Later in life, Dave was fortunate to begin to buy professional gear, slowly and piece by piece of course. Soon after Dave was performing at small family and friend's backyard parties. Soon after graduating high school, Dave got his first break when hiring a booking agent. 

Dave's agent at the time was able to secure a few gigs in Las Vegas as an opening DJ for a few nightclubs. Shortly after the bookings began to roll in, Dave's performance calendar began to fill up with a mix of events, from weddings to quinceaneras and even opening show tours for concerts in San Diego. 

Dave landed his first residency gig at the Blue Bar at Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella California. Playing Latin and hip hop favorites to a packed club and also introduce his remixes to a live crowd. 

Lightning would strike again,  as Dave landed his second residency as the grand opening DJ to the all-new Nightclub called the Groove Lounge at the same casino. Dave's weekend was filled with playing in his residencies. Every Friday and Saturday night, Dave would spin oldies, and classic jams from the 60's, 70's and 80's and some of the popular 90's! 

During this time in Dave's musical career, he also ventured into other side projects such as performing for over 7 years in a televised charity fashion in which Dave produced and performed the entire soundtrack of the show. Dave also produced performance music for some of the local high schools' dance and cheer teams music used in national competitions. 

After the conclusion of Dave's contracted nightclub residencies, Dave became a common Coachella Valley name as he performed at countless events throughout the valley and the greater area of southern California. 

A few years later, an opportunity would come knocking on Dave's door once more as he was offered another residency at a newly formatted and re-imagined Nightclub named "EN VIVO" at Spotlight 29 Casino. This project posed a different challenge as Dave was given nightclub management marketing duties as well as performing. Only a few weeks into the project, "En Vivo" became the top nightclub in the valley with Live Banda and Latin music and Dizzy Dave mixing between the sets was a sure recipe for success.  

Dave's music career fell into an immediate pause due to the pandemic, unfortunately, this venue did not survive the extended closure and did not reopen. Thankfully after overcoming the pandemic challenges, Dave is back on the scene!
